Ivan Edwards is a gifted vocalist, musician, and songwriter with a deep passion for using music to inspire, entertain, and bring joy to others.  A native of Lumberton, North Carolina, he discovered his love for music at an early age through a faith-filled upbringing, where singing and participating in music laid the foundation for a lifelong passion.

His passion for excellence in music led him to pursue formal training, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Classically trained in vocal performance, he combines technical excellence with genuine artistry, bringing warmth, precision, and emotional depth to every performance.

Residing for many years in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina region, Ivan has honed his talents across a wide range of musical outlets. His experience includes opera, Off-Broadway productions, a cappella performances, large-scale Christmas presentations, and numerous special musical events. He has also had the opportunity to perform for notable venues and organizations, including the Biltmore Estate, the Carolina Panthers, and the Charlotte Hornets. In 2026, he was selected to perform at the Divas and Dudes Showcase during CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee. This diverse musical background has uniquely equipped him to excel in a wide variety of musical styles, creating lasting connections with audiences.

After years of performing in various musical groups and settings, Ivan embarked on a new chapter in 2026, focusing exclusively on his career as a solo artist. Drawing on a lifetime of musical experience, he continues to share his love of music through inspiring performances and original songs. His talents as a songwriter and arranger add another dimension to his work as an artist.

His debut single, “It’s All In The Past,” made an impressive entrance at #45 on the Nashville Spin Top 100 Chart, followed later that year by his second charting song, "Heavenly Homecoming Party," which debuted at #21. Ivan was also featured in a two-page artist spotlight in the August edition of Nashville Spin Magazine.

Broadening his musical reach as a crossover artist, Ivan released "No Other Baby," an energetic blend of rockabilly and early rock 'n' roll featuring music recorded with Nashville musicians and vocals recorded under the direction of acclaimed songwriter and producer Billy Lawson at Wishbone Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Lawson's studio credits include work with artists such as Billy Ray Cyrus and Phil Driscoll. The project brought together the rich musical legacies of two of America's most iconic recording destinations.

The song made its official live debut on October 7, 2026, at the Infinity Music & Film Awards in Nashville. On its official release day, Ivan was prominently featured on a massive digital billboard in the heart of Music City, marking another memorable moment in his musical journey.

Adding to these exciting milestones, Ivan received two prestigious honors at the 2026 Infinity Music & Film Awards: Jazz New Artist of the Year and Holiday Artist of the Year.  These honors represented a significant new chapter in his emerging solo career, further highlighting his versatility as both a recording and performing artist.

Also in 2026, Ivan had the privilege of working with Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Nick Bruno, who produced and accompanied him on piano for an upcoming album of timeless hymns. Bruno's distinguished musical career includes work with the Kingsmen and J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet during their association with Elvis Presley.

Today, Ivan continues to share his passion for music through his original songs and a diverse repertoire spanning timeless standards, traditional pop, adult contemporary, jazz and swing, rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, gospel and inspirational music and holiday favorites.
